Open Call: Share Your Practice with CALA Alliance 


CALA Alliance invites artists to participate in the How I Became an Artista Cultural Literacy Program by sharing their artistic journey and practice with the community. 

How I Became an Artista is a community-focused educational initiative design to introduce diverse audiences- from students to adults- to the lives and work of Latinx and Latin American artists. 

HIBAA’s typically take place on Saturday mornings, lasting two hours, and this open call is for the 2025-2026 program cycle. Having your information allows us to connect with your for this and future opportunities through CALA. 

This is a paid opportunity with a $500 stipend. CALA Alliance will provide space, materials and promotional outreach to support your participation.
