CURATORIAL ASSISTANT

Sade Moore is a curatorial assistant born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a minor in Business Administration from Portland State University. Her professional creative experience includes commissioned art for logos and branding, as well as art direction for FIR NW, an advertising firm located in the Pacific Northwest. Sade is currently working as a curatorial assistant for CALA Alliance and also pursuing a master's degree in Art History at ASU.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Roman is a cultural organizer, visual artist, and leadership advisor. A daughter of Mexican immigrants, she was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Her primary goal as executive director is to make art more accessible by working with community partners to advance CALA's mission. Roman brings over 15 years of experience working with multigenerational leaders of the Latin American diaspora, curating inclusive spaces for healing and learning. Offering creative approaches to elevating and celebrating the work of Latine artists in Arizona and across the Americas. She is an Aspen fellow for Emerging Social Purpose Leaders and a fellow for EDGE Funders Global Engagement Lab.  

CURATORIAL ADVISOR

Alana Hernandez is a Curator based in Phoenix. Hernandez fosters Latinx artistic talent in the Metro-Phoenix region and beyond while strengthening cultural ties to the Americas. Hernandez has held curatorial positions at The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Páramo, Guadalajara, Mexico; Hunter East Harlem, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Phoenix Art Museum; and BRIC Arts|Media, Brooklyn. She received her MA in Art History from CUNY Hunter College.
