Saúl Millán

Saúl Millán is a multi-instrumentalist, artist and curator from the border-towns of Nogales, Arizona/Sonora. Performing music since the age of 18, Millan has recorded and performed with musical acts, Mexican Institute of Sound,Orkestra Mendoza, Calexico, Sanje, Trees Speak, “The Stonebreakers” among others. Since 2019, Millan has been the Creative Director for the Arizona music group “Los Esplifs”. After 3 albums and hundreds of performances, Los Esplifs continues to create and inspire audiences, exploring in real time the Latinx experience through rhythm, sound and song. In addition to his music career, Millan’s artwork has been featured in exhibitions in the United States and Mexico at Palabra Collective, Casa Rafael Galvan (UAM) and Museo de Arte de Sonora (MUSAS). Alongside his artistic work, Millán’s current focus is community building through creative programming, organizing contemporary exhibitions and co-curating music for Phoenix Art Museum’s audio and visual festival, “Amplified”.
