In July 2022 Sam Frésquez presented an art-making workshop. Gathering inspiration from her artwork in the exhibition Desert Rider, in this virtual workshop, you will design your own beaded racing flag. Learn about her process to create Rainbow Warrior (2021), a functional driving suit covered in glass seed beads, and discover the NASCAR traditions that influence Frésquez’s work. Participants of all ages and abilities can create a beaded work of art directly from home.
