Current Programs
-

Residencias Artísticas
CALA Alliance’s residency program is one of the only programs that fosters Latinx artistic talent in the United States, providing artists with unparalleled resources that enable them to realize innovative, ambitious new work.
-

How I Became an Artista
How I Became an Artista is CALA’s cultural literacy program. The community-based educational program exposes a wide range of community members—from students to adults—in the Metro-Phoenix area to the life and work of Latinx and Latin American artists.
-

CALA Presenta
CALA organizes programs with local, national, and international artists. Artists present public programs and community engagements as part of CALA Presenta.
-

smART
smART is a hands-on workshop series for emerging and mid-career artists. In each session, experienced professionals guide participants as they build practical career skills. Artists will craft a clear artist statement, develop a polished portfolio, and create a functional website. Workshops also cover budgeting, grant-writing tips, and other tools to help artists manage their careers and income with confidence.
